Here, There, Everywhere...some FAQs

Since this Blog was launched - sorry if you missed the party, the food was divine and the company splendid (or maybe it was the other way around) - we've had so many questions from so many people anxious to know more about the Buxton Festival Fridge. That's the first thing to clear up - FRINGE it is, not fridge. Anyway let's crack on with the FAQs and provide the FGAs.

1] Where will I find the Buxton Festival Fridge (sic)?
Pretty much everywhere and not just in Buxton! The Fringe will be in parks, on streets, in caves, in private houses, in public museums, in cafes, in pubs, in churches, in hotels, in shops. The Fringe will be outdoors, indoors, upstairs, downstairs. It will also be in New Mills, King Sterndale and Brierlow Bar. There will be a programme published by the usual means - that is on paper and available in libraries, shops, or from us - on June 1st, 2007. Look out for one from that date. If you can't find one let us know and we'll send you one. Send an email toinfo@buxtonfringe.org.uk with your postal address and we'll happily send you a programme when it is ready.

2] What can I see at the Fringe?
There will be plays (comedies and tragedies), stand-up comedy, music (symphony orchestras, recorder orchestras, chamber orchestras, singing, strumming, banging, early music, folk music, acoustic music), dance, visual art, readings (poetry and stories), maybe film. There will be performances for people of all ages and most tastes. Some of it will be free - the rest of it will be very reasonably priced. There will be hundreds of performances. For now our website is the best place to see descriptions of the programme and a diary of events:www.buxtonfringe.org.uk

3] When can I see or hear events at the Fringe?
The Fringe begins on Friday, July 6th and goes on until Sunday, July 22nd. There is something on everyday with some events starting at 10.00 in the morning and others going on until midnight. In short, for 17 days there is almost non-stop entertainment in and around Buxton. Be brave and you'll find reason to laugh, to cry, to argue, to think, to relax. Whatever else, you won't be bored.
